Ms. Manal El-Sheikh

Kindergarten Teacher


Ms. Manal is celebrating her 15th year with The Islamic School of Greater Toledo. She is an original founding staff member of the school. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and (ESL) English as a Second Language degree from the Mansoura University in Egypt. She additionally holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Toledo. Her educational forte spans Early Childhood Education and Development through Junior and High School academics from the Toledo Public Schools. She has received several teacher-service awards such as the Toledo Association for the Education of Young Children (2007) award as Outstanding Kindergarten through 3rd Grade Teacher. Ms. Manal is also the Science Club leader and Safety Policy Coordinator. Her dedication to teaching academic excellence includes a rigorous curriculum in Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies for all her students.










Ms. Amy Rahal-Shelton

Preschool and PreKindergarten

Ms. Amy is in her twelfth year of teaching Preschool and PreKindergarten at the Islamic School of Greater Toledo. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Toledo and is a state-certified teacher. Ms. Amy previously taught at our weekend school readiness class at the Islamic Center. She and her family are longtime members. Ms. Amy is married to David Shelton and they have two children, David and Sofia.



Mrs. Manal Abouyoussef

First Grade

Mrs. Manal Abouyoussef is our first grade teacher. She holds many degrees, the latest being a Master’s in Curriculum and Teaching from BGSU.  She has taught several years and we are very pleased that she has re-joined ISGT.

Mr. Mohammed Al-Dailami

Second-Third Grade

Mr. Mohammed Al-Dailami is our 2nd-3rd grade teacher.  He holds a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from BGSU and is currently studying for a second Masters in Reading. We’re very excited he has joined us!

Mrs. Najet Mejri

Assistant in Preschool and Pre-K and Arabic and Religion

Mrs. Najet Mejri is our assistant in Preschool and Pre-K, as well as the Arabic and Religion teacher for those classes.  She holds a degree from Owens Community College.  She volunteered last year and has two children in our school.

Mrs. Safaa Smaidi and Mrs. Elvira Al-Bataineh will be substituting for our teachers when they are needed.  They both have two children who attend ISGT.
